To commemorate the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s Waterloo album and winning the Eurovision Song Contest with the title song, the usual range of vinyl releases are coming on 5 April 2024.
The releases include the original 12-track LP as a double half-speed mastered 45 rpm album, along with three picture disc singles, and box set of three singles on coloured vinyl in picture sleeves.
The singles follow the Polar Music discography, featuring Waterloo/Honey, Honey (both in Swedish), Waterloo (English)/Watch Out, and Honey, Honey/King Kong Song. The picture discs of Waterloo (English) and Honey, Honey replicate the Danish single sleeves, as these were not released in picture sleeves in Sweden (Honey, Honey was only released in Denmark and Norway). The Waterloo picture disc single features an outtake from the album photo session. The Waterloo singles in the box set are replicas of the original sleeves and labels as released in Sweden, while Honey, Honey is the Danish single. The front of the box set is an alternate take of the album cover.
In addition, a special 10-inch EP includes all four language versions of Waterloo – Swedish, English, German, and French, featuring the 50th anniversary logo on the label.
There is a range of Waterloo branded merchandise available from online ABBA stores and ABBA The Museum.
All will be released on 5 April 2024, the day before the 50th anniversary of the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest.
