ABBA & Me – a new book

ABBA & MeDutch ABBA fan and ABBA Plaza webmaster Robert Verbeek has written a book about his own personal ABBA experience,  ABBA & Me.

Robert writes of being a fan since 1975, collecting ABBA, meeting ABBA members, attending fan club conventions, running his website, creating bootleg records, his time as one of the moderators of the forum on the official ABBA site, and will also include “lots of black & white photos”.

Though it will be a personal story, it will no doubt be familiar to anyone who is a fan.

ABBA & Me will be available in both English and Dutch versions (Dutch title: ABBA & Ik). It is due for release in April 2008.

For more information, a preview of the book, and to register interest in buying a copy when it comes available, go here (or here in Dutch).

The lost artwork

If you’ve only ever seen ABBA’s records on CD, then it’s likely that you’ve never seen this particular piece of artwork before.

It appeared on the lyric sheet on the inner sleeve of ABBA – The Album, rising up from the album title and filling in a bit of blank space between lyrics.

This has never appeared on any of the common CD issues of ABBA – The Album, which is a shame, as it’s fun and quirky.
