ABBA – the walk!

Are you visiting Stockholm this summer? ABBA – the walk! is the first organised walking tour of Stockholm visiting many well-known ABBA landmarks.

During the 1970s ABBA was a part of Stockholm, and Stockholm was a part of ABBA. All of ABBA’s songs were recorded there, and many of their music videos and photo sessions were taken in and around recognisable Stockholm sites. The tour covers those sites as well as the history of Stockholm in the 1970s, a period of change for the city.

The tour starts from May 19th. See Visit Stockholm or Gay and Lesbian Stockholm for more details.

If you’re visiting Stockholm any time you can always use Sara Russell’s excellent book The ABBA Guide To Stockholm to guide yourself to those ABBA sites in and around Stockholm. The book includes photos and detailed maps to make finding the sites very easy. Even if you’re not visiting Stockholm The ABBA Guide to Stockholm is still a worthwhile read, to see and learn about the sites of so much ABBA history.
